Volunteer Opportunities

Your efforts create bright futures. Help ensure student success and build a vibrant Stevenson community.

Looking for new ways to make a difference this year? Whether you’ve considered mentoring, enjoy planning events, like to work behind the scenes, or are interested in exploring leadership roles, the Foundation has exciting volunteer opportunities created just for you. By sharing your time and talents, you can positively impact all members of our Stevenson community.

Please complete our short Volunteer Interest Form. One of our team members will reach out to share more.

Auction & Raffle Committee

Going once, going twice, sold! We're looking for a small group of creative go-getters to help brainstorm and pull together appealing auction, raffle, and door prizes for the Foundation's fundraising events, including our annual Online Raffle & Auction.

Leadership Roles

Interested in helping to shape and grow the Foundation and its programs? Explore leadership opportunities with the Foundation's Board of Directors or board committees. Participation in a board committee can be a pathway to board membership and a great way to leverage your time and talent as a leader in your community. Board committees include Finance and Investment, Development (fundraising), and Board Development (management of the Board).

Stevenson Alumni Association

We are looking for SHS grads who'd like to get involved with the Alumni Association. Volunteers can participate on the Alumni committee, help plan class reunions, and serve as day-of event volunteers. Living outside of the Chicagoland area? We're also looking for Regional Ambassadors to plan alumni networking events.

Day-of-Event Volunteer

In addition to supporting programs that directly impact students' and families' needs, the Foundation hosts a wide range of events to enrich the lives of our extended community. Volunteers are key to making every Foundation event a success. You can assist with important day-of tasks such as event set-up, greeting and checking in guests, ticket-taking, and tear down.

Office & Administrative Support

The Foundation is in need of detail-oriented volunteers to assist with a wide range of tasks including mailings, event preparation, and data entry. Your time and effort in supporting Foundation teams will have a tremendous impact in our students’ and community members’ lives.

Stevenson to College (S2C)

You can help support S2C Scholars’ college journeys by volunteering as a mentor or sharing your college experience, and/or professional expertise as a speaker at one of our workshops. S2C provides students with the mentoring, knowledge, and support they need to make it to and through college.

Nashville Unplugged Event Committee

The Foundation is thrilled to launch a unique, new fundraising event, and is looking for organized, high-energy volunteers to help bring this exciting, 'Nashville-like' evening to life. Whether you'd like to help plan or are interested in joining our Host Committee, your efforts will help provide crucial assistance and opportunities to SHS students and families with limited resources.

Spring Golf Outing Committee

The Drive Fore Dreams Golf Outing is the Foundation's largest annual fundraising event. We're looking for a core group of dedicated volunteers to help plan and host another great day on the links at Royal Melbourne Country Club on June 5, 2023.

When I first learned about the Stevenson Foundation, I was amazed that approximately 10% of the student population was financially-fragile and in need of supports the KIN and S2C programs provide. I gave financially but something still felt missing. With the Foundation staff’s help, I was able to find an additional avenue to use my strengths to support these vital programs.”
